Event playlister allows you to search for and select a gig using last.fm.
Once selected, a playlist of three of the most popular songs by all the artists from the gig that
can be found on Spotify will be displayed on screen and can be copied into
your Spotify play queue to allow you to listen to the bands/artists that will be playing and decide if you will
enjoy the gig.
How to use it
Start by filling in the search box with the name of
a town/city (or any other location that can be found on last.fm). A list of search results will appear
for the area around that location. If you click on an event
then it will load the playlist from Spotify
and provide you with individual track links and a link to copy
all the tracks into your clipboard. Then you just need to open Spotify, go into the Play Queue section
or a playlist and hit paste.
Data we gather from you
Loading the app will lead to a request for your current location (if you have a modern browser). You can safely
reject this request without any major damage to how the app works. The main difference you will note is that no attempt to guess your
current location will be made (this will also not happen if you have entered anything in the search box). Location
data may also be used to set an appropriate country for auto-suggested cities.
In addition Google Analytics is used to record anonymous data about site usage so that the app can be improved in response
to the ways people use it.
I think I can guess your location, shall I try? YesNo
If I got that right then hit "Search" to find events. Otherwise you should put the correct location in the box first.
Type the location (a city or town is best) that you want to look for gigs near and hit "Search".
Click anywhere on one of the gigs in the list below to generate a playlist of tracks by the artists that will be performing.
I can also make you a playlist of all these gigs if you want? YesNo
